Profile

Amy Lambert decided to practice family law because she wants to help children and families. She experienced her parents’ tumultuous divorce as a child, which means she brings a unique, child-centered perspective to her practice.

In 2012, she became a partner in Tull & Lambert, LLP after having joined the Law Office of Jennifer Tull as an associate in 2006. Amy completed her J.D. at Texas Tech Law School.

Amy’s mature demeanor, straight-forward style and heart for families, combined with her natural negotiation skills allowed her to quickly rise to the top of the ranks of young family lawyers in Austin. She is one of the most trusted mediators in the Austin family law community, having helped hundreds of couples resolve their differences and restructure their families after divorce. She also represents family law clients in both collaborative law and litigation cases. She encourages clients to work toward reaching their best attainable outcome, which can be at the negotiating table or in court.

My divorce was difficult for me, but it could have been much worse. Amy Lambert kept a cool head when the wheels started to come off during negotiations. Even when I wasn’t thinking clearly, I always knew Amy had my back.

She volunteers within the legal community by serving as immediate past chair of the Austin Bar Association Family Law section; former panel chair for a State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee, and past editor of the Collaborative Roadmap. She provides numerous pro bono hours each year to the Central Texas legal community as a mediator, attorney ad litem and in 2011, as a volunteer attorney in the Free Legal Advice Clinic for victims of the Bastrop Wildfires. Additionally, she is a member of the Women’s Fund of Central Texas and active supporter of ACE: A Community for Education. While in law school, Amy was a member of the Board of Barristers, the Civil Litigation Clinic, and the Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic. She clerked with Judge Merrill Hartman, Advocacy, Inc., and McClure Duffee & Eitzen, LLP, in Dallas. In addition, she volunteered with Covenant Hospital’s Bioethics Committee and Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, where she received numerous volunteer awards.
